Who we are (Data controller)

Dexter Sports LLC, Ruby House, 8 Ruby Place, Aberdeen, AB10 1ZP, United Kingdom, is the data controller responsible for your personal data. This policy explains how we handle your personal data in line with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). If you have any questions, contact us at contact@slstri.com.

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on the site, place an order, enter a contest or prize draw, respond to a survey or communication such as email, or use another site feature. When ordering or registering we may ask for your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, payment details or other information. You may also visit our site anonymously. Like many websites we use "cookies" to enhance your experience — see the cookies section below.

How do we use your information, and our lawful basis?

We may use the information we collect to personalise your experience and deliver the content and products you're most interested in; respond to your customer service requests; process your transactions; administer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature; and send you marketing emails where you have opted in.

Under UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases: performance of our contract with you (to process and deliver your orders), your consent (for marketing and non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (to improve and personalise our services), and legal obligation (for accounting and record-keeping). You can withdraw consent at any time.

How long do we keep your information?

We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Order and transaction records are kept for 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting rules; marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe; and account data is kept while your account is active.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to keep your personal data safe. It is held behind secured networks accessible only to a limited number of people with special access rights, who are required to keep it confidential. Sensitive/payment information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will notify you and the ICO of a serious breach where the law requires.

Do we use "cookies"?

Yes. Cookies are small files transferred to your device through your browser that let our systems recognise your browser and remember certain information — for example, the items in your shopping cart. They also help us understand your preferences and compile aggregate data about site traffic so we can improve our services. We may use third-party providers to help us understand our visitors; they may only use this information to help us run and improve our business.

Under UK rules (PECR) we place non-essential cookies (such as analytics and advertising) only with your consent, which you give through our cookie banner and can change at any time. You can also set your browser to warn you about or refuse cookies, though some features may then not work properly. You can still place orders by contacting customer service.

Do we share your information with outside parties?

We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties, except as described here. "Outside parties" does not include Dexter Sports LLC, or the website hosting partners and other providers who help us operate our website, conduct our business or service you, so long as they agree to keep the information confidential and use it only on our instructions. We may release information where necessary to comply with the law, enforce our policies, or protect the rights, property or safety of us or others. Aggregated or anonymised information that does not identify you may be shared for marketing, advertising or analytics.

As we operate from the United States, your data may be transferred outside the UK; where we do this we use an appropriate safeguard, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent or opt out of marketing at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@slstri.com; we will respond within one month.

How can you opt out or update your information?

To update your email preferences, change them in the "My Account" section (due to email production schedules you may still receive emails already in production). To delete your online account details, sign into "My Account" and remove your saved shipping addresses, billing addresses and payment information. We may keep limited records of a sales transaction to service it and for record-keeping.
